Producer Esyas Beriso Arere has a 32-hectare estate featuring 2,500 trees per hectare, perched at an impressive altitude of 2350 meters, boasting red clay soil. This coffee's status as a 'single farm' sets it apart from other lots sourced in Ethiopia, which is a landscape dominated by smallholder farms.
At Esyas's farm, coffee is organically grown and harvested and undergoes meticulous natural processing. Only the ripest cherries are handpicked during each harvest, which takes place between November and January, benefiting from the rainy seasons of April and October.
