ASOPEP is an association in Colombia that has supported and assisted 167 coffee farmers' to work towards quality coffee that is certified organic, incentivising them to use organic practices. As a result, these producers have managed to certify their raw coffee beans as organic.

Lima Coffee is an exporting organisation in Cajamarca. Around 90,000 hectares of coffee farmland in Peru is certified organic, and it is one of the places with the highest percentage of certified organic exported coffee in the world. It is estimated that 25–30% of the smallholder farmers in Peru are members of democratically organised cooperatives and associations.
